We are back with the second edition of our Solar Makers' Workshop.

How many of you have already heard about photovoltaic devices? Probably all of you. But, how many did actually ever MAKE a photovoltaic device? Probably not all of you. On the 29th November, in the highly equipped PV Laboratory in EWI, we are organizing a PV Makers’ Workshop. The workshop has been organized thanks to the technical skills, the kind availability and motivation of Professor, researchers and PhD students of the PVMD group (Photo Voltaic Materials & Devices research group) of Tu Delft.

To whom is this workshop addressed? To everybody, independently on background and study programme, who is interested and curious to know how to practically work with photovoltaic cells. The idea of the workshop is to let you work in teams on the realization of a PV based device or prototype that at the end should really work! You will have access to 20 PV cells for each group and many other materials to free your creativity. Do not worry if you haven’t soldered anything before in your life: EC members and PhDs will be there to give you technical support and guidance. All your questions should be answered here. Lunch will be also provided.

In this workshop, you will not only have fun or gain practical skills, but you will also build something! You will have the opportunity to present your work on the afternoon, explaining how you got the idea and how you put it into practice. Please register as single or as a team of max 4 persons. If you register as a single participant or your team does not have 4 members, we will put you together with other free players.

Furthermore, we will have a small introduction and delicious lunch for free before the start of the workshop :)

We believe that education should be available to everybody, so participation is free of charge. A security deposit of €15 is necessary to ensure participation at the event. The amount needs to be deposited together with the registration via Google form. A team is officially registered if each of the team members has paid the deposit of €15 and a single form with all the names of the members has been submitted as well.
